Greetings

Summer 2007 was our 5th year of Day Camp and being a fully operational non-profit organization! Our call line says, "life changing options for kids", and even now five years later, I still wonder at that...maybe it should just say life-changing options, or maybe it should say life-changing for the director! In any case, we aren't about just providing programing for children, nor to simply meet the needs of this community. We desire to see lives changed. The camps, the programs, the classes are all avenues, to give and share God's amazing love. God in His wisdom, has given us ample opportunity to address the needs in Boise County, but He is still the answer, always.

In terms of providing life changing options to kids, we can tell you what we did, and how God used us, and I can tell you that my life is continually changed as I step out into this ministry time after time. I can tell you that there are kids that are asking their parents (it is October when I write this) if camp is coming again soon. And I can tell you that there are others that are now seeking God and have told me that their involvement with Isaiah's Ranch has changed them forever and they have to know from Him, what else it is that He would have them do. I hear about kids that are singing camp songs to fall asleep at night, others that pray for their counselor every day, and some teen counselors that pray for their kids, and look forward all year to camp so that they can share God with those kids. I can tell you about these kids that I see each day at school, that come off the bus and give a me a hug. The children that sit at breakfast in the cafeteria and tell me some horriffic thing that happened in their home the night before; the same ones that say they wish it was time for camp, because it is the best week of their life.

And so I pray that these life changing options will be used to be...life-changing.

Where We Are Going

What is next for Isaiah's Ranch?

We are already getting ready for camp next year. We welcome that opportunity to speak at local churches and share about the ministry and hopefully stir others to serve these children and families.

This summer (2007) we held out first Teen Action Camp. It is our hope to futher develop that camp and to work throughout the year with the teens that attended.

Isaiah's Ranch will continue to be involved with several after school programs, such as Community TaeKwonDo, Girl's Circle, and a teen photography class. Some of our team have been asked to help with parenting classes for the community. We welcome the possibilities of being able to reach more families through an opportunity like that.

We continue to seek God for how He would have be there for the community and the kids. And that is always amazing where He leads us. We are working with some other people in the community to start a community counseling center.

Our Heart

As summer 2007 comes to a close, this is the time that I reflect on what worked and the kids we met, and I start praying for guidence as to where He would have us go this coming school year and next summer! The Journey Continues....
